The project Plants First, Humans Second is a passion project of me and Mariëlle van't Zand. First conceptualised in 2015 during the minor Gamification.
After putting the project on hold for two years, this year we looked back and saw potential to make it a reality. Currently we have redesigned the artwork, playtested different game mechanics, and set a base for the story.
The city has swallowed earth, and with it millions of people. As a last resort to safe humanity, the only government left put a plan in place to let plants decide which humans deserve to live and die. The government issued an order to release a gas based mutagen that would help the few remaining plants grow stronger and survive.
